Job Summary
Build rapport with regional teams, cross-functional partners, and healthcare providers through face-to-face interactions and product demonstrations. Strategically manage key accounts by tailoring solutions to unique needs while analyzing sales data to create effective territory plans and utilize promotional budgets. Consult with physicians and medical staff to promote products and provide patient education, ensuring compliance with all company policies. Achieve sales performance goals and complete administrative duties while leveraging industry insights to drive product differentiation. Regularly review market challenges and apply problem-solving techniques to improve performance in the geographical assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid US driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- Must be able to successfully pass background, motor, and drug screening
- Must be based in or near Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Holland
- Minimum 1 year experience (Senior Sales Specialist level)
- Minimum 7 years experience (Executive Sales Specialist level)
- Full time documented business to business sales experience
- Pharmaceutical sales experience
Desired Qualifications
- Pharmaceutical sales experience preferred
- Experience managing complex healthcare accounts and engaging multiple stakeholders within Centers of Excellence, large academic medical centers, integrated health systems, and multidisciplinary specialty practices
- Experience collaborating with specialty pharmacies, patient support programs, reimbursement partners, and access stakeholders to support patient initiation, adherence, and continuity of therapy
- Experience in neurology, psychiatry, pediatric, rare disease, specialty therapeutics, or other complex disease states
- New product launch experience, particularly within specialty pharmaceutical or complex disease state markets
- Proven record of accomplishments in this specific market toward meeting established objectives
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills
- Ability to interact with HCPs in both face-to-face and virtual environments, and be proficient with technology
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of reimbursement, managed care, or marketing
- Broad therapeutic area experience particularly in therapeutic area
