Job Summary

Build rapport with regional teams, cross-functional partners, and healthcare providers to drive sales growth and profitability within a defined territory. Provide product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-servicing to current and potential customers while consulting with medical staff to promote products and educate patients. Strategically manage key accounts by tailoring solutions to unique needs and analyzing sales data to create effective territory plans and utilize promotional budgets. Maintain a call average as outlined in the sales plan, focusing on face-to-face interactions with top target customers. Proactively solve market challenges through traditional and nontraditional techniques to improve performance in the geographical assignment. Adhere to all compliance policies and achieve all sales performance goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Valid US driver's license
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to successfully pass background, motor, and drug screening
  • Must be based in or near Dayton, Springfield, Kettering
  • Minimum 1 year Full time documented business to business sales experience (Senior Sales Specialist level)
  • Minimum 7 years Full time documented business to business sales experience (Executive Sales Specialist level)
  • Regular travel, which may include air travel and weekend or overnight travel

Desired Qualifications

  • Pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Experience managing complex healthcare accounts and engaging multiple stakeholders within Centers of Excellence, large academic medical centers, integrated health systems, and multidisciplinary specialty practices
  • Experience collaborating with specialty pharmacies, patient support programs, reimbursement partners, and access stakeholders to support patient initiation, adherence, and continuity of therapy
  • Experience in neurology, psychiatry, pediatric, rare disease, specialty therapeutics, or other complex disease states
  • New product launch experience, particularly within specialty pharmaceutical or complex disease state markets
  • Proven record of accomplishments in this specific market toward meeting established objectives
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interact with HCPs in both face-to-face and virtual environments, and be proficient with technology
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of reimbursement, managed care, or marketing
