Job Summary
Prepare patients for neurological diagnostic procedures, including EEGs, and perform neurodiagnostic testing in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. Monitor patients during procedures, report significant findings to the supervising clinician, and accurately document test results in the medical record. Ensure proper setup, calibration, and maintenance of neurodiagnostic equipment while maintaining compliance with infection control and HIPAA policies. Provide clear explanations to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation during geriatric care. Travel to partner skilled nursing and long-term care facilities as assigned to support high-quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to travel to multiple facilities as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or formal neurodiagnostic training
- Certification as an EEG or Neurodiagnostic Technician (R.EEG T., CNIM, or equivalent)
- Prior experience in neurodiagnostic testing
- Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with the geriatric population
