Job Summary
Prepare patients for neurological diagnostic procedures, including EEGs and other neurodiagnostic tests. Perform neurodiagnostic testing in accordance with established protocols and safety standards while monitoring patients during procedures and reporting significant findings to the supervising clinician. Ensure proper setup, calibration, and maintenance of neurodiagnostic equipment, then accurately document test results and patient responses in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff to support high-quality patient care in skilled nursing and long-term care settings. Travel to partner facilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to travel to multiple facilities as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree or formal neurodiagnostic training
- Certification as an EEG or Neurodiagnostic Technician (R.EEG T., CNIM, or equivalent)
- Prior experience in neurodiagnostic testing
- Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with the geriatric population
