Job Summary
Neuro Step Down unit leadership role focusing on operational and clinical leadership for an ANM within a 24-bed Neuro unit. The position supports evening to night coverage with 4x10-hour shifts (approx. 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM) and occasional overnight coverage. Key responsibilities include overseeing the nursing team with direct reports, participating in on-call rotation, developing staffing plans, analyzing patient outcomes and audits, ensuring regulatory readiness and competency, handling daily payroll and timekeeping, coordinating staff communications and huddles, scheduling nursing assignments, interviewing staff, performance evaluations, and implementing corrective actions. The role supports budget goals, action planning, and collaboration with the leadership team to drive clinical and service excellence. Education and licensing requirements include RN licensure and a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred and 2-5 years of nursing experience; magnet designation and hospital quality context noted in the posting.
