Job Summary
Transport patients to and from treatment areas and community activities as scheduled. Prepare patients for treatment and assist with or provide therapy as directed by therapists. Handle clerical and patient-related duties, including recording daily treatment charges and documentation. Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas and ensure adequate supply stock. Participate in department and facility meetings, as well as performance improvement programs. Adhere to HIPAA privacy practices and business ethics guidelines while maintaining professional conduct. Report safety concerns to management immediately and attend required staff development programs. Maintain a valid driver's license with acceptable background check results.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma
- Maintains a valid driver's license
- Current auto liability insurance coverage
- Motor vehicle driver record background check results are within acceptable company standards
- A minimum of two years' experience driving a motor vehicle
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of six months prior work/volunteer experience providing individual instructions in a health care environment
- Previous experience in patient care in a rehabilitation center
- Therapy students are considered
- Demonstrates effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Able to relate and work with the disabled, ill, elderly, emotionally upset and at times, hostile people within the facility
- Able to work independently and part of a team
