Job Summary
The Medical-Surgical/Acute Care Registered Nurse provides and coordinates patient care, collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, performs assessments and reassessments, develops individualized care plans, administers medications, documents care, maintains equipment, and communicates patient needs. Responsibilities include patient rounding to maximize satisfaction and quality standards, applying nursing knowledge across developmental stages, promoting customer service, and utilizing the nursing process to meet patient needs while performing technical skills and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year med/surg experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- Current licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or other acceptable Board of Nursing
- Current BLS certification
- Pursue and complete Med-Surg certification within 1 year from date of hire
