Neuro ICU Registered Nurse - Nights

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of nursing care. Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment; educates patients and families on illness/injury management including post-treatment home care and medication administration. Participates in safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities and professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patient, and caregiver. Uses advanced nursing skills to assess and address patient needs across physical, psychosocial, and cultural dimensions. Works in a Neuro ICU setting caring for patients with complex neurological conditions (e.g., traumatic brain injuries, strokes, brain tumors, spinal cord injuries) in a multidisciplinary environment. The role is characterized by 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a), weekend requirements every 3rd weekend, and a safety-sensitive position emphasizing continual learning and patient care excellence.
