Job Summary
Provide comprehensive care to acutely ill and medically complex patients in the neuro-intensive care unit, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team that includes dedicated EEG services, inpatient neurology consultants, and fellowship-trained neuro-intensivist physicians. Manage daily operations while working a day shift with some weekend and on-call shifts required. Maintain current certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Emergency Neurological Life Support, and hold a DEA registration with full prescribing authority. Required Qualifications
- board certified and licensed Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant/Associate
- National Provider Identifier (NPI), or obtain NPI, prior to employment start date and meet current Medicare requirements for billing
- current DEA Registration with schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 and State issued prescribing authority
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Emergency Neurological Life Support (ENLS)
- Day shift
- Some weekend required
- some on call shifts required

Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience of working at least one (1) year in the neuro-critical care setting as a NP or PA or neuro ICU experience as a RN
