Network Test Engineer

Job Summary
Design, build, test, implement, and maintain Gateway engineering solutions for DISN projects, including DECTK, SNLC, and satellite gateways. Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and unified communication managers while applying security patches to High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptors and SIPRNet hard tokens. Evaluate network workflows, analyze existing architectures, and develop engineering change requests for Configuration Control Boards. Provide on-call Tier III support, perform incident response, and deliver detailed test plans and troubleshooting documentation. Supervise staff daily and support mission partners to satisfy interoperability requirements across NIPRNET and classified networks.
Required Qualifications
- Clearance: DOD Secret or Higher
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical discipline
- At least 5 years of experience
- Strong routing protocols and IP network design experience to include: IPSEC, BGP, MPLS/RSVP, OSPF, IS-IS, Multicast, Layer-2/Layer-3 Virtual Private Network (VPN), Carrier servicing Carrier (CsC)
- Unified capabilities experience to include Cisco voice gateways, unified communication managers and SIP trunking
- Experience with Type 1 HAIPE encryption devices, secure tokens, etc.
- Laboratory testing experience using tools such as Wireshark, Kiwi-Syslog, SNMP/Traps, for testing/troubleshooting network traffic
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools; specifically, PowerPoint, Word & Excel
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), effective leadership, and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- DoD and/or Government program experience preferred
- DISA experience a plus
