Network Technician

Job Summary
Network Technician will provide frontline support by opening tickets and handling basic tier-1 configuration changes on remote client systems (wireless access points, switches, firewalls). Will maintain documentation of changes, perform firmware updates, and escalate to Tier 2 with detailed notes. Requires one year of networking experience or Network+/PCNA or equivalent, familiarity with OSI Layers 1-3 and WLANs, plus experience supporting customer environments in a helpdesk role. Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, multitasking, and professionalism are essential; availability nights/weekends. Preferred: experience with residential electronics design and home automation systems (Crestron, Savant, AMX, Control4); proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Remote-friendly with US location.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year of networking experience or current Network+ / PCNA or equivalent certification
- Novice level understanding of Layers 1-3 of the OSI Model
- Novice level understanding of wireless local area networks
- Experience supporting customer environments in a helpdesk/support capacity
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Consistently demonstrates professionalism

- Availability nights/weekends as needed
