Job Summary
Design, deploy, and maintain Lakepointe Church network infrastructure across campuses. This dual-role position functions as both network architect for new systems and as the primary network administrator for day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include designing LAN/WAN/WLAN architectures, planning upgrades and migrations, configuring routing, VLANs, switches, and firewall policies, evaluating hardware/software/providers, and maintaining diagrams and technical documentation. Also responsible for monitoring performance, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, VPN infrastructure, security and compliance, incident response and root-cause analysis, on-call rotation for services/events, and collaboration with ministry staff, vendors, and AV teams. Requires strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, QoS), experience with Cisco/Meraki/Fortinet/Ubiquiti/Palo Alto, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders; preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and relevant certifications, multi-site experience, and familiarity with SD-WAN/cloud networking and AV-over-IP.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in network engineering and/or administration
- Proficiency with enterprise switching, routing, wireless, and firewall platforms
- Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, or Palo Alto
- TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN design, QoS, VPN technologies
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, event-driven environment
- Strong documentation habits and attention to detail
