Job Summary
Design and implement enterprise communication networks, developing technical standards for scalable voice, data, and wireless solutions. Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and security appliances while deploying intrusion prevention systems and managing centralized patch distribution and log analysis. Provide advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and technical consultation for complex infrastructure initiatives to ensure secure, highly available environments. This senior-level role supports Southern Company Services in Forrest Park, GA, requiring 10+ years of experience with a one-year contract.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in network and systems engineering
- Proven experience in enterprise network design and implementation
- Strong knowledge in one or more of the following: Voice networks, Data networks, Wireless services, Network security
- Experience with Firewalls
- Experience with VPN technologies
- Experience with Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS)
- Experience with Log management and centralized update systems
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership
