Job Summary
Network Systems Administrator I or II responsible for day-to-day operation of all communication systems, delivering excellent customer service while providing network and desktop support for 500 devices and 235 users. Manages Windows network infrastructure including Exchange email and Office 365, internet connectivity, PCs, printers, copiers, AV systems, and related hardware/software. Administers firewall, routers, and switches; researches and recommends future system enhancements. Requires travel to tribal area offices as needed and ability to work outside normal hours. Emphasizes ensuring security guidelines, HIPAA compliance, data protection, backups, licensing, and proactive system monitoring to maintain high availability and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies or related field - OR - an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- One year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to support and coordinate EHR system (NextGen) operations.
- Prioritize and respond to issues impacting clinical workflows and patient care.
- Coordinate with clinic leadership and vendors on outages or changes.
- Ensure systems meet security and compliance requirements (HIPAA, access controls).
- Support clinical device environments (workstations, printers, peripherals).
- Knowledge of computer operations, software applications, network fundamentals, and data processing equipment.
