Job Summary
Network/System Administrator III at gTANGIBLE Corporation (gTC) supporting AF Special Access Programs (SAP) security efforts. Primary duties include organizing, installing, and supporting government computer systems (LAN/WAN/intranets), helping architect network models, and advising on future hardware/software upgrades. Will participate in security operations for SAP/DoD environments, including day-to-day support for Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities, with responsibilities spanning security tooling (COTS/GOTS), risk analysis, incident response, and RMF/JSIG compliance. Requires hands-on work with Windows Server, RHEL, virtualization platforms (Hyper-V/VMware), network security devices, scripting, SIEMs (e.g., LogRhythm), vulnerability assessment tools (Nessus/ACAS), and security monitoring, along with development of O&M checklists, SOPs, and TTPs. Must operate with minimal supervision, lead IT ops on daily network management, and coordinate with ISSE/ISSM for improvements in confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Strong DoD information assurance and security engineering background is essential, with DoD 8570.01-M Level III certification and potential for TS/SCI eligibility and polygraph consent.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related area
- 5-7 years of related experience OR Associate degree and 7-9 years of related experience OR 9-11 years of related experience without a degree
- DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level III within 6 months of hire
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft Exchange Server, and RHEL administration
- LAN/WAN technologies and data backup technologies including COMSEC integration
- DoD policy familiarity with system and network administration
- WSUs and/or YUM patch deployment methodologies
- Effective communication and collaboration in a high performance team
- Group Policy design and configuration
- Virtualization knowledge (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Minimum of 2 years of SAP experience
- Prior Air Force experience a plus
