Job Summary
Execute day-to-day management and operations of systems and networks, including organizing, installing, and supporting LANs, WANs, and data communication systems for government organizations. Manage COTS & GOTS products to collect, display, and remediate automated system security metrics while following Operations and Maintenance checklists to build Tactics, Techniques, and Processes. Operate monitoring tools with SIEM to create complex event alarms and reports, and assist in analyzing technical risk for emerging cybersecurity tools. Work as part of a security incident response team to support activities within Special Access Programs for Department of Defense agencies.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related area
- Associate's degree in a related area + 2 years' experience
- Equivalent experience
- Must meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level I within 6 months of the date of hire
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server
- Thorough knowledge of RHEL operating systems administration
- Working knowledge of CISCO network and switching and virtualization technologies
- Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies
- Working knowledge of data backup technologies
- Working knowledge of communication security (COMSEC) integration
- Must be familiar with DoD policy as it applies to implementing and executing system and network administration
- Working knowledge and current relevant experience with PL2 network environments/systems
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related area + 2 years' experience OR equivalent experience (Desired)
- SAP experience
- Prior Air Force experience
