Job Summary
Network Support Technician providing Tier I/II technical support for DoD customers, deploying and sustaining mission-critical systems (Watchtower MDM, DMSAT) and conducting operator/administrator training. Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and mobile device issues across Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS; managing MDM enrollment/configuration/compliance; coordinating on-site deployments; developing training materials and SOPs; and collaborating with Air Force bases and government stakeholders to meet site-specific operational requirements. Travel to customer locations up to 25% and remote/onsite support for deployments, exercises, and training events are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Electronics, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Network Engineering, Systems Administration, Technical Support, Tactical Communications, Deployment Operations, or related technical disciplines.
- Minimum of 3 years supporting Department of Defense, Federal Government, or military communications environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise mobile device management (MDM), tactical networking, or situational awareness platforms.
- CompTIA Security+ CE certification or equivalent certification that satisfies DoD 8570/8140 workforce requirements.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification (required).
- Strong working knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems, Linux, Android and iOS mobil e platforms, MDM, Active Directory/LDAP, Microsoft Azure, AWS, virtualization technologies, VPN, PKI, X.509, certificate management, secure communications.
- Experience with TAK software applications (TAK Server Administration, ATAK/WinTAK Client Configuration, TAK Infrastructure Deployment and Support).
- Understanding of PKI, certificate management, and secure communications.
- Ability to review and analyze logs, troubleshoot complex issues, train personnel, and produce deployment guides and SOPs.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a Secret Security Clearance; background investigations may be required.
