Job Summary

Own day-to-day network operations and maintain SLA adherence across LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, wireless, and cloud interconnects while triaging incidents and driving issues to completion. Establish disciplined problem management with RCA and corrective actions, enforce high-quality change control, and partner with Security on vulnerability remediation and Zero Trust alignment. Oversee planning, design, and performance tuning for firewalls and remote access, lead integrated delivery with federal staff and vendors, and develop project schedules aligned to agency standards. Provide executive briefings on operational status and risks while maintaining compliance with FISMA, TIC 3.0, NIST SP 800-53, and FedRAMP. Produce runbooks and SOPs, validate artifacts against quality gates, and participate in on-call leadership rotations.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years managing large-scale enterprise IT/network operations or projects
  • 5+ years leading network services/operations in a federal environment
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • Proven record of driving incidents to closure, enforcing operational standards, and delivering measurable service improvements
  • Hands-on leadership of hybrid network architectures (data center + cloud), including SD-WAN, VPN, firewall management, and cloud interconnects (AWS/Azure)
  • Experience managing technical staff, subcontractors, and multiple task orders across distributed sites (10k+ users / 50+ sites)
  • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring/management platforms (e.g., SolarWinds)
  • Strong customer interface experience with senior federal leadership and multi-stakeholder environments
  • Required certifications in PMP (PMI), ITIL v4 and CCIE or CCNP (along with 8 years hands on experience enterprise networking)
