Job Summary
Manage and coach Directors of School Operations (DSOs) by setting goals, monitoring progress, and providing regular feedback within a robust management cadence. Design professional development aligned to the school year cycle, including the Summer Operations Institute and monthly convenings, while fostering a culture of peer coaching and distributed leadership. Co-create a clear vision for operational excellence across all schools by developing scalable tools like operations playbooks and rubrics, then lead change management to ensure smooth system rollouts. Partner with Principals and network teams to align operations with academic priorities, clarify roles for budget and talent management systems, and build infrastructure for monitoring effectiveness through dashboards and walkthrough protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5–7 years of progressive school operations leadership experience
- 3+ years managing and developing others
- Proven success designing systems, driving execution, and leading cross-functional initiatives
- Comfortable navigating complexity and organizational change
- Strong project management and analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving and strategic planning skills
- Committed to the growth and development of team members
- Passionate about equity, inclusion, and the mission of intentionally diverse schools
- Hybrid schedule with minimum 3 days in-office per week
- Mondays required
