Network Security Support Engineer

Job Summary

Provide advanced support for network and security incidents and service requests, while leading implementation of change requests and project tasks. Troubleshoot complex networking and security issues across customer environments, manage ISP circuits, and liaise with providers. Act as an escalation point for Level-1/2 engineers, offering guidance and mentorship. Maintain high-quality documentation and ensure knowledge sharing within the team. Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota and flexible shift coverage. Required Qualifications

  • hybrid working role which will require to attend an office based in Central London twice a week
  • at least 4–5 years' experience supporting complex customer environments
  • experience with technologies such as SD-WAN, Firewalls, Routing (OSPF/BGP), and ISP management
  • advanced triage, incident response, and change implementation
  • act as an escalation point for junior engineers
  • Provide advanced support for network and security incidents & service requests

  • Troubleshoot complex networking/security issues across customer environments
  • Manage ISP circuits and liaise with providers as needed
  • Maintain high-quality documentation and ensure knowledge sharing within the team
  • Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota and flexible shift coverage
  • 4–5 years' experience in a network & security support role
  • ITIL Service Principles
  • SD-WAN deployment & troubleshooting
  • Security technologies (firewall policies, IPS/IDS, web filtering, secure web gateways)
  • Advanced routing (OSPF, BGP, MPLS)
  • Switching (Layer 2/3)
  • ISP circuit management
  • DDI (DNS/DHCP/IPAM)
  • Monitoring tools (SNMP, API-based platforms)
  • ITSM platforms (Autotask, ServiceNow)
  • Technical Skills: VeloCloud, SilverPeak, Fortinet, Zscaler, Infoblox
