Job Summary
Monitor real-time security events using SIEM tools and troubleshoot complex network issues involving firewalls, WAFs, VPNs, and Layer 2/3 routing to maintain continuous uptime in a 24/7/365 environment. Lead day-to-day operations by coordinating with Level 2/3 engineering teams, service desk personnel, and external vendors to manage major escalations and conduct Root Cause Analysis. Perform rigorous system audits, maintain SOPs, and ensure alignment with ITIL disciplines while upholding project KPIs, metrics, and SLAs.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in data center network operations
- Demonstrated experience in firewall implementation
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership within a 24/7 environment
- Strong technical knowledge of network protocols (Multiprotocol Label Switching [MPLS], Border Gateway Protocol [BGP], Open Shortest Path First [OSPF])
- Strong technical knowledge of firewall architectures (Cisco ASA, Fortinet, SonicWall, Sophos, Palo Alto)
- Strong technical knowledge of Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
- Strong technical knowledge of Load Balancers
- Strong technical knowledge of Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)
- Proven ability in stakeholder communication
- Proven ability in vendor management
- Proven ability in team leadership
- Proven ability in project coordination
- Proven ability in incident escalation handling
- Relevant industry certification or formal education in Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
