Job Summary
Install and configure network, security camera, and access control systems while managing new and existing infrastructure. Install ethernet, coaxial, and fiber optic cabling; diagnose and repair security systems and networks. Read floor plans, drive to job sites, and maintain records of time and materials. Requires one plus year of experience as a network installation technician or low voltage installer, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 75 lbs. Grand Rapids Tech provides cloud and on-premise IT solutions, network security, and infrastructure to small and medium-sized businesses across Michigan.
Required Qualifications
- 1 plus year(s) experience as a network installation technician, low voltage installer, security camera technician, or relevant position
- Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, and network technologies
- Hands-on experience with common software and hardware
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift over 75 lbs
- Ability to use power tools and ladders
