Job Summary
Conduct Level 2 help desk service by troubleshooting network and telecom problems, identifying root causes, and coordinating vendor support. Provide analysis and monitoring of network infrastructure while installing and managing networking and voice equipment including VoIP systems, routers, firewalls, and switches. Perform active network monitoring, security scans, performance tests, capacity planning, and maintain security updates. Requires five years of progressive experience in telecommunications with Cisco expertise. Hybrid work schedule involves two full days in the Buffalo, NY office.
Required Qualifications
- 4 year degree or equivalent work related experience
- 5 years progressive experience in telecommunications field maintaining medium to large infrastructure, switches, routers, VoIP
- Ability to plan and prioritize tasks and coordinate installations
- Network knowledge of Cisco routers, Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower, Cisco switches, Cisco CUCM, RADIUS, network security or equivalents
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Hybrid work schedule, requiring two full days per week in the office, with flexibility to work remotely or in office the remaining days
