Job Summary
Configure, maintain, and optimize network hardware, software, and communication links while implementing advanced security measures such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems. Troubleshoot complex network and end-user hardware/software issues, analyze security incidents, and conduct regular assessments to identify vulnerabilities. Monitor network performance, document system changes, and collaborate with IT teams to enhance infrastructure stability and security. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, 5-7 years of experience, and certifications like CompTIA Network+ or Security+. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in network and security administration
- Advanced technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Linux, Windows, and router commands
- Proven experience in managing and troubleshooting network hardware, protocols, and standards, including switches, routers, cabling, and telecom/phone systems
- Proven experience with network analyzers, scanners, and testing equipment
- Proven hardware and security troubleshooting experience
- Strong understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
- Extensive knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in one or more of the following: CompTIA Network+, Security+, MCSA, CCNA
