Job Summary
Administer the Fortinet security stack by handling daily configurations, policy updates, and firmware upgrades for FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer. Manage firewall rules, NAT policies, Web Filtering, and Intrusion Prevention Systems to maintain a secure network posture while configuring and troubleshooting secure remote access solutions including IPsec and SSL VPNs. Utilize FortiAnalyzer and SIEM tools to analyze logs, detect anomalies, and respond to threats, acting as the first line of defense for incidents through triage and containment. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance and maintain precise documentation of network topologies and rule changes. Requires a valid Fortinet Certified Professional certification and 3-5 years of hands-on experience.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience dedicated to network security administration or firewall management
- Expertise in Fortinet Technologies: Deep, daily operational knowledge of FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager centralized management, and FortiAnalyzer logging/reporting
- Mandatory Certification: Must hold a valid Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) - Network Security certification (formerly NSE 4) or at minimum a valid NSE 3 certification
- Experts in Fortinet technology and hold either an NSC3 or NSC4 certification
- Solid understanding of essential network concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing basics, and DNS/DHCP
- Strong knowledge of VPN structures, ACLs, SSL inspection, and general cybersecurity best practices
- Exceptional skills in documentation, rule-base cleanup, and maintaining clean, well-commented firewall policies
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Ability to clearly communicate security protocols and risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desired Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Secondary certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Security+, or CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
- Experience administering security policies within hybrid cloud or Operational Technology (OT) environments
