Job Summary
Network Platform Architect at Takeda Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. based in Cambridge/Boston area with hybrid remote work up to 75%. Lead IT strategy for patient engagement platform (PEP), drive adoption, and own reference architecture and platform design. Manage network and security platforms end-to-end from concept to stabilization, direct staff engineers on requirements, analysis, design, development, and implementation. Hands-on implementation and support of network equipment (routers, switches, SD-WAN, firewalls) with Cisco, Fortinet, and Palo Alto technologies. Analyze network traffic and performance for lifecycle improvements; coordinate with global teams to consolidate IT environments; travel up to 10% domestically and internationally for deployments. Full-time role with competitive salary and benefits; requires 5+ years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5 years of related work experience
- high-level designs (HLDs) and low-level designs (LLDs) for network architectures
- plan, design and implement network and security architecture in on-premises environments
- lead network infrastructure upgrades and migrations projects
- analyze and diagnose network issues, services outages
- hands-on experience in designing, implementing and troubleshooting Fortinet SD-WAN, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Palo Alto firewalls, Palo Alto Panorama, Cisco Routers and Switches, routing protocols BGP, OSPF and Application-aware Routing, VPNs, F5 Big-IP
