Job Summary
Survey, design, and implement physical fiber and copper cable plants, power connections, conduits, and patch panels for the Base Infrastructure Modernization program. Perform site surveys to document current ISP/OSP configurations, restore facilities to pre-install or better conditions, and conduct systems pre-tests and acceptance tests to validate performance criteria. Assist with designing and optimizing supporting infrastructure, contributing to Preliminary and Final SPRIPs, project drawings, and deliverables while adhering to DoD, DAF, and industry standards. Install and inspect grounding, and provide input to the SPRIP and production of project artifacts.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years experience providing inside/outside plant engineering and support
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements
- Experience supporting ISP/OSP solutions on large, complex networks
- Experience supporting DoD projects, specifically network modernization projects
- Comfortable with Microsoft applications including Office/365, SharePoint, and Teams
- Able to assess infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions
- Must have strong communication skills
- Able to work independently or as part of a team and interact professionally within all levels of an organization
- Must be a US citizen
- Hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI)
- Subject to a U.S. government security investigation
- Meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Desired Qualifications
- BICSI certification preferred
