Job Summary
Oversee efficient planning and coordination of outbound Feeder ground operations, ensuring all logistics meet safety, legal, and operational standards. Supervise a team to optimize performance, manage resources, and enhance system processes while collaborating across departments to improve goods flow. Position containers, manage loading for flights and vans, and ensure compliance with regulations and dispatch protocols. Maintain the Network Information System (NIS) and other planning tools, providing expertise to Planning and IT teams for troubleshooting and optimization. Provide comprehensive orientation, skills training, and continuous development to department personnel, fostering professional growth through regular evaluations. Ensure adherence to safety policies, operational procedures, and local government requirements for ground logistics. Maintain high standards of accuracy in planning, documentation, and communication with other operations teams. Manage data movement from planning phases to production, overseeing shift-based activities and flexible scheduling to meet operational demands.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited university
- Proven experience in logistics, network planning, or related fields with an understanding of both air and ground transportation systems
- Ability to effectively communicate in both written and oral formats
- Experience in preparing detailed reports, coordinating with other departments, and liaising with external stakeholders
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to retrieve and manage data from multiple systems, including Network Information Systems (NIS) and other logistics tools
- Ability to manage and resolve complex logistical challenges under pressure, balancing multiple tasks with competing priorities
- Experience leading a diverse team, promoting a cooperative and proactive work culture, and driving team performance
- Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, to ensure the smooth operation of Feeder schedules
- Knowledge of safety regulations, operational policies, and compliance requirements specific to ground transportation operations
- Must meet local age and operational requirements to operate a vehicle, with the ability to work in a physically demanding environment
