Job Summary
Network Operations Engineer role focused on supporting a Cisco-centric infrastructure with 24/7 on-call rotation. Responsibilities include troubleshooting LAN/WAN issues, enforcing change management, maintaining Cisco switches/routers, creating monitors, implementing capacity/failure analyses, and designing/deploying mission-critical network and security systems. Collaboration with software development and database teams to define deployment requirements, documenting changes, and delivering reliable network operations in a remote Malaysian setting. Desirable certifications (CCNA, CCSA, CCNP, CCDP) and a degree in Computer Science or related field are preferred. Relocation sponsorship is not available; candidates must be legally authorized to work in Malaysia.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years Network Administration experience
- Fault tolerant LAN/WAN design experience
- BGP, IPSEC VPN experience
- Firewall policy implementation and enforcement
- Hands-on experience with hardware installation, upgrade, and maintenance of layer 2/3 devices
- Knowledge in Networking and Security fundamentals
- CCNA and/or CCSA certifications or higher
- CCNP/CCDP certification (desirable)
- Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems, international equivalent, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in high-pressured but highly structured, customer-oriented environment
- Ability to stay on project or hand-off schedule and manage own time effectively
