Job Summary
Network Operations Engineer role at Qube Research & Technologies, focused on 24/7 operational support for global network infrastructure, monitoring/observability improvements, post-incident reviews, automation of BAU changes, and collaboration with trading desks and other infra teams. Required Qualifications
- Experience monitoring and resolving incidents across Low Latency LAN (Multicast, BGP, PTP, FPGA, Layer 1 Switching)
- Datacentre HPC knowledge (VXLAN, EVPN, RoCEv2, Leaf/Spine Topology)
- WAN and Internet/cloud connectivity knowledge (MPLS, BGP)
- Expert troubleshooting skills for network infrastructure and vendor coordination
- Experience with infrastructure metric collection/visualization tools (Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Cisco CCNP level knowledge or qualifications
- Willingness to perform on-call and out-of-hours work
- Familiarity with network automation tooling (CI/CD pipelines, orchestration, Ansible, Python, GitOps)
- Ability to release into production with high-quality code reviews and change management
