Job Summary
Lead a 24/7/365 Network Operations Centre team, overseeing continuous monitoring of network infrastructure, servers, customer environments, and Building Management Systems. Act as the primary escalation point for critical Tier 3+ incidents, coordinating cross-functional teams to perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions. Manage shift schedules, enforce Standard Operating Procedures, and coordinate with facilities and vendor teams for maintenance and emergency works. Monitor environmental performance metrics, produce operational reports, and implement automation to enhance facility reliability and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience managing or leading a team within a NOC, Technical Assistance Center (TAC), or critical data center environment
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure operations
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
- Deep understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing
- Strong proficiency with enterprise-level monitoring, SIEM, and ticketing tools (e.g., Jira Service Management, ServiceNow)
- Ability to maintain focus, think logically, and lead a team effectively during high-severity outages
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
- Willingness to be site-based in Norway
Desired Qualifications
- CCNP/CCIE, Juniper JNCIP/JNCIE, ITIL Foundation or higher, or relevant cloud/Linux certifications
- Norwegian language skills
- Understanding of data center physical infrastructure (UPS, cooling systems, power distribution)
