Job Summary
Lead and perform trade studies, analyses, and simulations of space network architectures; provide critical insight and feedback to government customers to optimize the overall communications performance of current and future terrestrial, satellite, launch vehicle, and ground-based systems; develop data analysis and post-processing tools; support development and sustainment of core network simulation, emulation, and modeling capabilities (on-site at El Segundo, CA).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in data analysis, OSI and TCP/IP models and in network design, analysis, and modeling & simulation
- Applied research in analytical, simulation, and/or experimental skills
- Experience in software development in Python or C/C++
- Ability to present results effectively in briefings and technical reports
- Willing to travel up to 10%
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. Government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
- For Senior Member of Technical Staff: Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, OSI and TCP/IP models and in network design, analysis, and modeling & simulation.
