Job Summary
Cursor Engineer role to design, develop, refactor, and optimize production-grade codebases using Cursor IDE; leverage AI-assisted coding (inline prompts, multi-file context, refactor tools) to accelerate development lifecycle; translate business and technical requirements into clean, maintainable, scalable code; perform AI-driven code reviews, debugging, and test generation; collaborate with product owners, architects, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions; ensure secure, compliant, and performant code aligned with enterprise standards; create and maintain technical documentation using AI-assisted tooling; mentor team members on best practices for Cursor and AI-first development workflows.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years software engineering experience
- Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or C#
- Experience with REST APIs and microservices
- Cloud-native architectures familiarity
- Cursor IDE experience for code generation/refactoring and documentation
- Strong prompt engineering skills for software development
- Experience with LLMs (GPT, Claude, etc.) in coding workflows
- Productionizing AI-generated code security and performance considerations
- Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Ability to mentor team members on best practices
