Job Summary

Configure network equipment in lab environments to support mission system integration and perform advanced diagnostics for complex connectivity issues. Design, develop, and implement systems using MBSE tools like Cameo Systems Modeler to model, simulate, and analyze designs aligned with project requirements. Identify design weaknesses in networked environments, develop security documentation, and provide accreditation and certification evaluation support. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, scalable architectures while researching vendor products and COTS components for feasibility. This role supports the NC3 engineering group within General Dynamics Mission Systems, focusing on strategic deterrence and national security. The position requires a Department of Defense Secret clearance and is fully on-site in Taunton, MA, with an optional 9/80 flexible schedule.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
  • 2+ years of job-related experience
  • Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards
  • Solid understanding and application of systems engineering principles, concepts, and theories
  • Solid understanding of network design principles, theories, best practices, and concepts
  • Advanced diagnostic techniques to identify and resolve connectivity issues across complex network architectures
  • Expertise in configuring switches, routers, and firewalls to ensure secure and efficient network operations
  • Proficiency in MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, or similar)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly report information relevant to sound systems engineering design
  • Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle complex assignments efficiently
  • Awareness of business objectives and the role of engineering in achieving these goals
  • Skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions effectively
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
