Job Summary
Network Integration Engineer responsible for installing, integrating, operating, and maintaining secure wired/wireless LAN solutions; perform site surveys to design networks, document design and integration approaches, and validate performance and security; design and test components, train technicians and junior engineers, and produce formal documentation and proposals. Requires DoD Secret Clearance, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, CCNP or CCNA, extensive networking experience, strong technical writing, knowledge of VLANs, QoS, VPNs, SDWAN/VXLAN/EVPN, and willingness to travel up to 70%; based in Ashburn with remote work option, and must meet US citizenship requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience (6 years)
- DoD 8140 Cyber IT Workforce compliant
- Cisco networking certification (CCNP) or CCNA with equivalent experience
- Extensive networking and network administration, configuration, upgrade and operations experience
- Strong technical writing skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Visio)
- Understanding of TR, CAT6, crimps, and wiring standards; BICSI certification a plus
- Experience with 802.11 a/b/g/n Wireless Network equipment; Aruba certification a plus
- Understanding of wired networks (router, switch, VPN); VLAN, Trunking and QoS; SDWAN, VXLAN, EVPN
- OSHA awareness for work on man lifts
- Willingness to travel up to 70%
- Valid driver’s license
- US citizenship for access to sensitive information
