Job Summary
Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure with a focus on OSI Layer 2 and 3 protocols; configure and manage switches, wireless access points, and routers; implement VLANs, ACLs, and firewall rules to protect network integrity; diagnose and resolve network issues to minimize downtime; monitor performance and optimize traffic; maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, subnets, changes and procedures; collaborate with IT teams to integrate network solutions with other systems and applications; plan and execute network upgrades and patches while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of experience with networking equipment and related technologies
- Extensive experience in multi-vendor firewall configuration; Palo Alto experience preferred
- Proficiency in configuring and managing multi-vendor switches and wireless solutions (prefer HPE, Aruba, Cisco)
- Strong knowledge of IPv4, VLANs, routing protocols, NAT, VPNs, and related network technologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively in a remote environment
