Job Summary
The Network Infrastructure Engineer will design, implement, maintain, and support the organization’s LAN/WAN, wireless, and cloud networking environments. Responsibilities include configuring and optimizing Palo Alto firewalls, administering VPNs (site-to-site and remote access), managing Cisco Meraki and Cisco switching infrastructure, and ensuring security compliance, performance, and reliability. The role requires hands-on experience with network architecture, standard practices, and cross-functional collaboration to support business operations. Key skills include TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, ACLs, cloud networking, scripting (Python) for automation, and familiarity with AWS/Azure and Linux. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in network administration or network engineering roles
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and subnetting
- Proven experience configuring and supporting network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Solid understanding of network security concepts including VPNs and ACLs
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, and Linux operating systems
- Occasional overnight travel may be required
