Job Summary
Prepare and update Engineering Work Orders for new builds, upgrades, relocations, and fiber deployments. Review design prints and redlines to ensure construction readiness, then develop OSP designs in 3GIS using AutoCAD, Ivaula, and Netsuite. Process invoices, validate financial documentation, and resolve discrepancies while coordinating with vendors, developers, builders, and municipalities on project timelines. Engage with city departments to secure permits and ensure regulatory compliance. Support Engineering II and Senior Engineers by completing record updates as needed. This role manages engineering requests within an assigned geographic area to support the company's open-access fiber network platform.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- 4–7 years of telecommunications, engineering, or network planning experience
- Strong proficiency with engineering systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners
- Technical design proficiency (3GIS, OSP engineering tools, redline review)
- Strong communication & collaboration with vendors, city officials, and internal teams
- Detail-oriented & organized with strong multitasking abilities
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs (implied by safety-sensitive role at heights/near utilities)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (E-Verify)
