Job Summary
Evaluate Authorized Service Interruptions and unplanned network events by analyzing circuit paths and topologies to determine precise impacts on customer missions. Utilize monitoring tools to assess real-time or forecasted mission disruptions from maintenance, outages, or severe weather, translating complex data into actionable assessments for Government leadership. Provide high-speed impact analysis during emergency surges to support executive reporting and situational awareness, ensuring all findings are accurately logged in ServiceNow and legacy systems. Maintain 100% on-site presence at Scott AFB, IL, requiring an active Secret clearance and DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification. This role serves as the operational safeguard for the Defense Information Systems Agency's network, directly supporting mission continuity within the Global Solutions Management Operations II contract.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Active Secret clearance
- High School diploma
- 2-4 years of prior experience in an IT Operations Center (ITOC), Network Operations Center (NOC), or telecommunications environment
- Current and active DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE)
- Ability and willingness to work 100% on-site at Scott AFB, IL
- Demonstrated ability to trace network paths and understand the critical relationship between physical hardware and logical circuits
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into professional reports for Government oversight
Desired Qualifications
- Practical experience navigating and querying ITSM records within ServiceNow and dashboarding capabilities
- A practical understanding of the OSI model, IP routing, Optical networking, and/or ATM switching
- Prior experience interpreting data or navigating interfaces for Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, or Promina network devices
- Familiarity with ITIL processes or working within a team-focused, fast-paced operational environment
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant IT or Engineering discipline
