Job Summary
Plan enhancements and upgrades for routers and switches across a large, worldwide enterprise network, designing changes to communications systems and developing detailed architecture schematics. Provide Tier 2 support to troubleshoot and resolve enterprise networking outages, while conducting cost/benefit analyses for hardware and software selection to meet program mission needs. Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, Unix shell scripts, and batch scripts for configuration and auditing, configure network monitoring tools using SNMP/IPMI protocols, and serve as a subject matter expert for Zabbix and TACACS+. Apply DISA STIG compliance configurations to Cisco devices and track initiatives using Jira within an Agile Scrum team. This onsite role requires Monday through Friday support and offers a flexible schedule near a Metro station.
Required Qualifications
- An active/current TS/SCI /w Poly Security Clearance
- A current/valid Security+ Certification
- Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA or minimum of 6 years with MS/MA, or 12 years of applicable work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirement
- Experience with developing Zabbix templates for network monitoring
- Experience working with configuring and troubleshooting Cisco IOS-XE and NX-OS routers and switches
- Experience working with EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF Protocols, including authentication and route distribution
- Experience with Cisco zone-based firewalls, Access Controls Lists, IPSEC tunnels, Dynamic Multipoint VPN (DMVPN) and VLAN separation
- Experience with scripting languages, such as Expect, Bash, and Python
- Experience with Ansible playbooks
- Experience applying security configurations to Cisco networking devices according to DISA STIGs
- This role is required to provide onsite support, Monday - Friday
Desired Qualifications
- A current/valid CCNA and/or CCNP Certification
- Experience with Jira, Zabbix, and TACACS+
- Experience working in Agile Scrum teams
