Network Engineer - (Wireless)

Job Summary
Monitor critical processes for Emory's enterprise-wide systems, address interruptions, and troubleshoot network failures in the Network Operations Center. Install, configure, and maintain network services and devices while developing tools to optimize monitoring and performance. Design system configurations, set policies and best practices, and perform inspections and upgrades. Collaborate with programmers and requestors to resolve errors, prepare outage statistics, and conduct post-mortem analyses. Provide 24x7 on-call support to restore service and act as a subject matter expert for network communications, offering auxiliary support to Library Information Technology Services and Healthcare staff.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field
- five years of related IT experience
- equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- residency in the state of GA
- ability to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs
