Job Summary
Oversee the design, implementation, and sustainment of enterprise network solutions by performing hands-on installation, rack and stack, cabling, and testing of networking equipment. Lead troubleshooting efforts for routers and switches, documenting complex issues and escalating them appropriately while serving as the key point of contact for customer engagement. Collaborate with senior engineers to drive end-to-end solution delivery, ensure accurate configuration records, and produce technical reports that inform decision-making. This role requires an active DoW Security Clearance and involves 8 weeks onsite in California followed by 10 days offsite, with all travel and accommodation expenses covered.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoW Security Clearance
- Proven, hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Aruba networking platforms in enterprise or DoW environments
- SME in physical infrastructure: cabling, racking, stacking, power configuration
- Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across the OSI Model 7 Layer technology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to elaborate on complex issues to non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and commonly used network analysis to include multiple monitoring tools
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification
- IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification
- Security+ or Equivalent
- Knowledge of basic Network Design Topology Implementation, Switch and Router Configuration Management
- Work onsite in California
- Spend 8 weeks working onsite in California, followed by 10 days offsite
- All travel and onsite accommodation expenses covered
- Daily per diem allowance for meals and incidental expenses
Desired Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Aruba
- Experience mentoring or guiding technical teams
- Preferred Computing Environment Certification: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) and/or Aruba Certified Associate (ACA)
