Job Summary
Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, support, and optimize enterprise Cisco network infrastructure for a state government agency. Will coordinate migrations to a new center, work with senior architects and engineers, configure and troubleshoot Cisco routing/switching, wireless networks, VPNs, remote access, and security solutions (including Cisco ISE and AnyConnect). Support more than 220 Cisco wireless access points across geographically diverse facilities, assist with network integration, participate in performance monitoring, capacity planning, incident resolution, and maintain network diagrams and operation procedures. Strong experience in enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN/VPN, TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, DNS, DHCP, and security best practices is required; CCNP/CCIE or equivalent government/mission-critical experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies
- Experience implementing and supporting enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN environments
- Experience troubleshooting complex network performance and connectivity issues
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, DNS, DHCP
- Experience supporting network infrastructure within large enterprise or data center environments
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work onsite and operate effectively in a high-visibility, mission-critical environment
