Job Summary
Network Engineer responsible for bridging cloud-native infrastructure and platform networking within a Kubernetes architecture. Role focuses on configuring and maintaining cloud platform infrastructure, virtual networking resources, and automation workflows; participating in on-call rotations; securing and debugging cross-cluster communications in air-gapped Kubernetes environments; and improving network reliability, security, and performance through automation and scalable practices.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with IP Networking (3-5 years)
- Experience with Linux systems administration or Kubernetes (3-5 years)
- Experience with MPLS L3 VPN or kernel-level data plane cloud native networking
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating production workloads in Kubernetes
- Deep practical understanding of the Kubernetes networking model and CNI (e.g., Cilium) configurations and Istio Service Mesh
- Experience directing field operation technicians/engineers in a telecommunications environment
- Experience with infrastructure automation (Git, Bash, Python) to automate configurations and upgrades
