Job Summary
Network Engineer in San Francisco: own the design, implementation, and day-to-day management of the high-performance data center network that powers a real-time programmatic DSP. Work with Mellanox Spectrum hardware, Cumulus Linux, and Netris to build a low-latency, automated fabric. Collaborate with global infrastructure and backend teams to ensure scalable, reliable networking for billions of real-time bid requests. Responsibilities include designing and deploying high-density networks, managing network OS with Cumulus Linux, SDN orchestration with Netris, performance tuning for throughput and latency, implementing security measures (firewalls, VPNs, ACLs), and developing automation workflows. Requires 3+ years in professional network engineering (6+ years for senior), deep Mellanox experience, strong Linux and scripting skills in Python or Go, and a relevant CS/Engineering degree.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional network engineering experience (6+ years for Senior-level consideration)
- Deep familiarity with Mellanox Spectrum switches and ConnectX adapters
- Strong proficiency in Cumulus Linux (Debian-based) and general Linux system administration
- Hands-on experience with Netris for VPC-style networking on-premises or in hybrid cloud environments
- Expert-level knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EVPN-VXLAN, and LACP
- Proficiency in Python or Go for network automation
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
