Job Summary
Manage and optimise firewalls, network appliances, and security controls across the cloud and SD-WAN environment. Deploy, support, and enhance connectivity solutions while monitoring performance to proactively identify and resolve issues. Troubleshoot complex L2/L3 incidents and collaborate with architecture teams to deliver scalable cloud networking solutions using Infrastructure as Code. Participate in a 24x7 on-call roster for major incident escalations and contribute to post-incident reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a network engineering role supporting enterprise-scale environments, including cloud networking technologies
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure networking services and cloud-based network architectures
- Expertise across networking technologies including routing, switching, VPNs, DNS, load balancing and network security
- Experience with Cisco SD-WAN and Netskope SSE
- Demonstrated capability with Check Point firewalls, Meraki networking and Citrix ADC technologies
- Experience using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT or Networking
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Check Point or Azure certifications
