Job Summary
Design, deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure while configuring routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers. Monitor network performance, availability, and security, then troubleshoot and resolve network incidents and outages. Implement security best practices, access controls, and capacity planning for network upgrades and migrations. Maintain documentation, collaborate with systems, cloud, security, and application teams, and apply scripting or automation using Python or Ansible. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of experience, and certifications like CCNA or CCNP.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in network engineering or network administration
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching
- Experience with enterprise networking hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Aruba)
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex network issues
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Knowledge of SD-WAN, zero-trust networking, or network automation
- Scripting or automation experience (Python, Ansible, etc.)
- Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS, Network+)
