Job Summary
Network Engineer (Mid) to design, upgrade, and operate enterprise-wide DoD-focused networks. Responsible for developing networks that meet evolving mission needs, troubleshooting complex network issues, improving security, reliability, and availability of mission-critical systems, supporting disaster recovery and PKI/certificate management, and integrating various data storage, web services, and external data sources. Candidates should have substantial IT experience, DoD cybersecurity risk mitigation and A&A support experience, and relevant certifications (CCNA, DoD IAT II) with TS/SCI clearance. The role emphasizes engineering and architectural planning for enterprise networks, data, voice, and video networks, and alignment with DoD directives. Comfortable working in a security-sensitive environment with potential access to classified information. Remote work is not indicated; on-site at Hurlburt Field, FL.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in Information Technology
- 3+ years network engineering and architectural planning
- 3+ years establishing portal or web services incl. enterprise farms, geographical replication, external data sources, third-party add-ons
- 3+ years data storage experience (SANs, NAS, iSCSI, DAS)
- Knowledge of enterprise data, voice, and video networks
- Ability to perform disaster recovery and backup, monitor PKI and certificate authority
- Ability to support cybersecurity efforts, risk identification and mitigation, and A&A support per DoD/IC directives
- TS/SCI clearance required
- HS diploma or GED
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
- DoD IAT Level II certification
- Nice to have: Bachelor's degree, CCNP/CCNP-related certifications
- Clearance: TS/SCI required
