Network Engineer (Lisbon-Hybrid)

Job Summary
Administer, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructures, managing Cisco routing and switching environments alongside Fortinet solutions. Implement and maintain VLANs, Trunking, Spanning Tree protocols, and dynamic routing protocols including OSPF and BGP. Support high-availability networks through HSRP, VRRP, and QoS policies while analyzing connectivity and performance issues. Document configurations and assist in infrastructure migration projects involving On-Premises to Cloud connectivity. This role contributes to the evolution of enterprise networking infrastructure within a dynamic team focused on unlocking digital potential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Networking
- Proven experience working with Cisco network infrastructures
- Strong experience with: Cisco Routing & Switching
- Strong experience with: VLANs, Trunking, STP/RSTP
- Strong experience with: OSPF and BGP
- Strong experience with: MPLS
- Strong experience with: HSRP/VRRP
- Strong experience with: QoS
- Strong experience with: EtherChannel
- Strong experience with: Network troubleshooting
- Experience with Fortinet networking technologies, including: FortiGate
- Experience with Fortinet networking technologies, including: Static Routing
- Experience with Fortinet networking technologies, including: OSPF/BGP
- Experience with Fortinet networking technologies, including: SD-WAN
- Experience with Fortinet networking technologies, including: High Availability (HA)
- Experience with Fortinet networking technologies, including: IPsec VPN
- Experience with Fortinet networking technologies, including: Connectivity troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of: TCP/IP
- Strong knowledge of: IPv4/IPv6
- Strong knowledge of: DNS
- Strong knowledge of: DHCP
- Strong knowledge of: LAN/WAN architectures
- Strong knowledge of: Network Segmentation
- Strong knowledge of: High Availability concepts
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Networking, including: Azure Virtual Networks (VNet)
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Networking, including: VPN Gateway
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Networking, including: On-Premises to Azure connectivity
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously in the administration and support of enterprise-scale network environments
- Effective documentation and technical communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments
- Experience participating in network transformation, migration, or modernization projects
- Knowledge of Cisco ISE and Cisco Prime
- Exposure to hybrid infrastructure environments combining On-Premises and Cloud networking
