Job Summary
Network Engineer for DoD mission systems participating in the SkillBridge program in San Diego, CA. The role involves designing, integrating, and operating secure military networks, with on-site duties and a 40-hour work week during the internship period. Candidates should have strong routing/switching knowledge, network security expertise, IP subnetting, IPv6, and experience with tools and protocols typical to defense networks, plus the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science or equivalent
- 2 years with Bachelor's for Level 2 or 5 years with Bachelor's for Level 3
- Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain
- US Citizenship required to obtain/maintain security clearance
- Experience with TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
- Experience with Cisco IOS/IOS-XE
- IP subnetting and network addressing
- Proficiency with IPv6, GRE, IPsec, QoS, VLANs, and multicast
- Knowledge of network security features (IP access-lists, stateful inspections)
- Ability to operate in a DoD environment and interact with senior customer organizations
- Proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Visio)
- Ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret Clearance
- DoD TAPS/TGPS ethics brief within 12 months

- U.S. Citizenship required for government-clearance positions
